What we optimise for
Clarity: explicit source and target formats, visible options and inspectable output.
Privacy: local processing where practical, with honest disclosure when a tool loads a library or model.
Recoverability: previews, validation messages and error reports instead of silent data loss.
Professional usefulness: preserving source columns and supporting repeatable bulk workflows.
Coordinate conversion methodology
The coordinate tools use established browser-side projection libraries plus explicit CRS definitions. We test representative known points, round trips, invalid rows, axis mapping, delimiter handling and output preservation.
Limits: Browser transformations are useful for operational GIS and data preparation, but authoritative cadastral or survey work may require official transformation grids, epochs or local procedures not represented by a general-purpose web converter.
